73. Numbers Up Keep Away

Description
•A basic keep away game. One team tries to keep the ball away from the other team.
•Because the one team has an advantage, the amount of reps of the skill (ie: passing and receiving) is increased.

Variations:
-If you loose the ball, you go in the middle.
-Play with a partner so that if you or your partner loose it, you are both in.
-Play for a time limit . . . after two minutes change defenders.
-Try to ‘split’ the two defender with a pass, if you do it counts as a goal.
-Play 3 vs. 1, 5 vs. 2, 6 vs. 3

Coaching Points
•Angle and distance of support must be good.
•Keep your hips facing the play
•Weight and accuracy of passing
•Good passing technique
•Team shape, support wide and at height.
•Defending - Making play predictable, being patient.
